In vitro excellence meets RCEES, Beijing 🇨🇳

October 17, 2025

Scientific exchange focused on next-generation exposure systems to advance animal-free environmental research.

Just ahead of the International Congress of Toxicology (ICT) in Beijing, Prof. Ralf Zimmermann, Head of the Joint Mass Spectrometry Centre (JMSC) @ Universität Rostock and Helmholtz Munich delivered an inspiring lecture at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

His presentation “New approaches for addressing the chemical composition and physical properties as well as the toxicological impact of aerosols” highlighted the latest developments in aerosol analysis and in vitro exposure systems — featuring VITROCELL’s Automated Exposure Stations.

RCEES is one of China’s leading institutions in environmental and ecological research, with key disciplines including environmental chemistry, pollution control, ecology, environmental systems science, and environmental biotechnology.

The topic aligns with RCEES’s growing interest in advanced, non-animal methods for assessing the impact of airborne substances — a field where VITROCELL technologies play a central role.

A heartfelt thank-you to our Regional Manager China, Mrs. Phoebe Wong, and Prof. Zimmermann for making this valuable exchange possible!
