REVIEW:
This year’s ISAM Congress offered valuable insights into the future of drug delivery technologies.
It was particularly noteworthy to observe the growing importance of dry powder formulations, with increasing focus on delivery via both the nasal and pulmonary routes.
The safety assessment of new drug candidates using in vitro methods was another key topic of discussion. While exposure systems are already available, the urgent need for standardization and validation of these methods was clearly emphasized.
We demonstrated that we are fully equipped to meet these demands, offering a comprehensive portfolio of exposure systems – from solutions for gases and vapors to liquid aerosols and dry powders.
These systems are also compatible with breathing lung-on-chip models through our collaboration with AlveoliX, enabling physiologically relevant testing under dynamic conditions.
