In Vitro Inhalation Toxicology at the 2023 DDL Conference

February 26, 2024

We’re excited to share an insightful and very comprehensive talk by Victoria Hutter on in vitro inhalation toxicology from the 2023 Drug Delivery to the Lungs Conference (DDL) in Edinburgh/Scotland.

Victoria Hutter is Chief Scientific Officer of ImmuONE and Professor of In Vitro Toxicology of Centre for Research into Topical Drug Delivery and Toxicology Pharmaceutics at University of Hertfordshire.

As part of the AIT workshop her presentation delves into critical aspects of in vitro inhalation toxicology, covering:

  • The use of different cell systems for research
  • Innovative toxicity assays to determine the effects of inhaled drugs
  • Techniques for aerosol administration in vitro

Innovative exposure systems provided by VITROCELL play a crucial role in accurately mimicking lung exposure to aerosols.

Victoria Hutter’s insights into using these systems offer a view into current and future drug delivery technologies to the lung.

The Drug Delivery to the Lungs Conference (DDL) is the premier conference and industry exhibition which is dedicated to pulmonary and nasal drug delivery. It is organized by The Aerosol Society.

AIT is the Association of Inhalation Toxicologists.
