Hands-on Workshop on Advanced In Vitro Inhalation Methods: May 22, 2026 at IIVS in Gaithersburg, USA

April 10, 2026

VITROCELL Systems, together with the Institute for In Vitro Sciences (IIVS) and AlveoliX, is pleased to announce a hands-on workshop dedicated to Inhalation Exposure Methods. It will cover Advanced Cell Systems and Organ-on-Chip Solutions and their exposure to all airborne substances including biological materials.

The workshop will take place at the IIVS facilities in Gaithersburg, Maryland (USA), just ahead of the MPS World Summit in Washington, D.C.

This one-day training provides participants with practical insights into state-of-the-art methodologies used in modern inhalation toxicology and respiratory research. The program combines theoretical background with hands-on experience, allowing participants to work directly with advanced systems, including lung-on-chip technologies.

Key topics include:

  • Available Exposure Methods at the air–liquid interface (ALI)
  • Application of advanced exposure systems
  • Integration of organ-on-chip technologies into inhalation studies

Participants will benefit from direct interaction with experts from IIVS, AlveoliX, and Vitrocell, gaining valuable insights into current challenges and solutions in the field.

Due to the hands-on nature of the workshop, the number of participants is limited.
