The poster shows that the respiratory epithelium model allows the assessment of bioavailability and safety of pharmaceutical and chemical compounds in the airways and lungs. The radio-labelled aerolosized nano particles are exposed to the cells on the air-liquid interface with the endpoints of TEER, HO-1, LDH, Comet-Assay and Illumina gene array expression analysis.
