Did you know why we use stainless steel for our exposure systems as much as we can?

January 19, 2024

Medical grade stainless steel, particularly “V4A”, is our preferred material choice for in vitro exposure systems. It is inert, exhibits minimal interaction with gaseous or particulate substances, is easy to clean and extremely durable.

Stainless steel is the perfect base for distribution systems, exposure modules, and companion plates. We advise against the use of plastic companion plates during continuous flow exposure, as electrostatic effects may impact the surface charge, leading to a decrease in performance and reproducibility.

Moreover, its hygienic properties make it ideal for applications where cleanliness and sterility are paramount. The excellent resistance to corrosion ensures reliability even in the most demanding laboratory conditions. Furthermore, it is completely recyclable.

The exceptional properties of stainless steel align perfectly with our commitment to sustainable solutions.
