The aim of this work was to investigate toxicity of single volatile chemicals and their mixtures. Developing a reproducible in vitro dynamic exposure model where A549 and HaCaT cell lines representative of VOC’s target tissues (lungs and skin) were exposed in an airlifted interface to air pollutants. Several endpoints were evaluated: cytotoxicity (LDH), proliferation (WST-1), CFU (Colony Forming Units), inflammatory response (IL-8) and oxidative stress (ROS).
