The VITROCELL® Skin module is a unique system for the exposure of tissue to liquids and volatile compounds. It has a 6-chamber capacity. The base module and optional exposure tops are made of high-quality stainless steel. The unique tissue holders have been specifically designed to enable tight and reliable skin fixation. This module is a legitimate and superior alternative to Franz cells. The system is provided with a full set of holder counterparts. Thickness ranges: ○ 500 μm ○ 500 – 1 000 μm ○ 1 000 – 1 500 μm ○ 1 500 – 2 000 μm Base module including exposure top The aerosol exposure top enables either a continuous or time-dependent exposure of the sample to gases, aerosols or complex mixtures. Base module including cover unit The standard volume for the receptor fluid is 2.5 or 5.0 ml. The receptor fluid can be manually or automatically sampled by means of the VITROCELL® Skin Autosampler syringes. The module has a magnetic stirring capability for each individual compartment . The cover domes ensure a reduction in evaporation.
